Shipping Policy and Returns


When should I expect delivery?

Accessories and small goods that can ship via standard shipping methods (USPS, UPS, FedEx) will ship out same day if orders are placed before 12 PM PST. If the order is received after 12 PM PST we will do our best to ship out same day, but we do allow up to 1 business day to have the item/s shipped out.

Large items (such as sideboards, sofas, cabinets, etc…) are shipped LTL and can take between 1-3 business days to ship depending on carrier availability.

HabitatHomeAndGarden.com ships Monday through Friday, excluding national and federal holidays, to addresses in the continental U.S.

May I cancel my order?

You are able to cancel your order up until the point of shipment. Once the item has shipped, we are unable to cancel the order. If you would like to cancel your order, please email contact@habitathomeandgarden.com or call our office at 1-805-343-1050.

Do you accept returns?

Yes. If you would like to return any item/s from your order, you must do so within 7 days of receiving that order. Items should be returned in either the same, or equivalent packaging as originally received. Return your package through the carrier of your choice. Please note: Customers are responsible for the safe return of merchandise.

How do I return my order?

We can only accept returns on goods ordered from HabitatHomeAndGarden.Com. Clearance items are non-refundable.

If you need to make a return, please follow these steps:

*For small items shipped via standard shipping methods (USPS, UPS, FedEx)

  1. Within 7 days of receiving the order, re-package your order in the same, or equivalent, packing material as originally delivered to you.
  2. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless items were received damaged or a shipping error was made by Habitat Home & Garden. If this is the case please contact Habitat Home & Garden upon receipt. We cannot accept C.O.D. packages. Shipping charges will not be refunded. We recommend that you insure your return or send it in a traceable method. HabitatHomeAndGarden.com is not responsible for returns until they are received in our warehouse.
  3. Return your package through the carrier of your choice. Please note: Customers are responsible for the safe return of merchandise.


*For large items shipped LTL

  1. Within 7 days of receiving the order, contact our office via email at contact@habitathomeandgarden.com.
  2. We can either guide you through the process of having the item returned via an LTL carrier, or we can take care of this process for you, and deduct the shipping fees from the refund amount.


How long will the return process take?

  • Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 10 business days.
  • The warehouse will inspect merchandise sent back for a refund and reserves the right to reject returns.
  • Once the return has been processed, you will receive a return email confirmation.
  • Depending on the credit card company, it may take up to an additional 10 business days after the credit is applied for it to post.
